then williams parents where
john birbeck and mary annie peel living at 3 richard st hetton le hole in 1920 but i have a problem with john as i keep drawing a blank
i know malcolm married a j mueller and had 2 children called gareth william in 1982 and a girl called marie in 1979. i would love to hear from any one in this family so i can continue with my tree

If you're having a problem with John, then the first thing to do is buy the marriage cert. of John and Mary Peel:-

this will give you his age so you can work out his date of birth, and his father's name and occupation so you can find him with more certainty in the census records.

He gives his place of birth as Eppleton, which was the colliery at Hetton, so I would say that this could very well be him in 1901:-

i was just wondering if any one can help me i went over to wales to visit the grave of william grant thompson birbeck dob. 24/12/1919 died 1983 on the grave it has d c m next to his name when i asked at the office they told me he was awarded the distinguished conduct medal i have been looking at all th sights for him and even looked in the london guzette to try and find him but cant find any info any where so if any one can help i would be very greatfull
