This is an extremly perplexing family problem.
David Lyn Jones was born possibly in 1935 in cardiff, he may have got married to either a muriel or marian. Her maiden name is unknown.
They possibly had children together called alan, frank, anna and another sibling.
Alan is my father and doesnt speak to any of the family, the mother has moved to australia( not sure if she has come back)
All the children were born in wales.

Your dads birth cert will show his mums maiden name

Surely your father knows his mother's name?

When -exactly - was he born? And where?

There is NO birth on freebmd in Cardiff in any year remotely close to 1935

No he doesnt, ive found his marriage now... which was to a marian b roberts

The marriage cert will tell you how old he was.......and give you a better chance of finding accurate info about him

The birth for him was actually 1931 as l eventually got his marriage cert however l still cant seem to get any further with them, l have his wifes name which is marion Beatrice Roberts.

EDIT Probably not these marriages as Lewis is a farmer. His father Adam is also a farmer.
Margaret's father, Job is a miner.

David Lyn JONES was born on 20 Sep 1930 in New Quay, Cardiganshire. His children were all born in Somerset. Robert Lyn b. 14 Jun 1954 in Culm Cottage, near Worle, Frank Anthony born 8 Jul 1955 same place. Ann Marion born 1956 in Ashcombe House maternity home, Weston Super Mare. Alan Lewis born 9 Sep same place. David Lyn JONES' parents were Lewis JONES, born in Towyn 1904) and Hannah Jane EVANS (born Llanwono 1890) They were married in the 4th quarter 1927 in Aberayron district. Prior to the marriage Lewis was lodging with HannahJane. Son William R.A (Alwyn) was born in 1928 in New Quay. Hannah Jane died and Lewis took the boys to Towyn to be looked after by his sisters. They both later returned to New Quay.

Hannah Jane Evans married Evan Tom Evans. Their children were Sarah Ann (Sally), Megan, John and (I think) Glandon.
Sarah Ann (Sally) married Percy Uncles, they had no children. Megan married Dennis Rowlands, they had two daughters Morwenna (Wenna) and (I think) Myfanwy.

The original poster is nor Marion....it is Roxanne....I wonder if Marion is David's wife and therefore Alan's mother. The information is too specific to think otherwise...
