Find Ancestors

Hello all,

I am looking for the children of Elizabeth Ann Underwood. She was born in Feb 1851 (Boston, Lincs). She married George Dury (1840 - 1921) at St Peters church, Southborough on 1/6/1895, and she died 24/9/1916.

I have looked at FreeBMD and there is quite an extensive list of possibles and I need to narrow that down.

If someone can please look at the 1901 and 1911 census for me it would be appreciated as I don't currently have access. Her address in 1901 was 14 Victoria Rd, Southborough and in 1911 was 37 London Rd, Southborogh, Tunbridge Wells.

Unlikely to have had children marrying at that age ....1911 census says "none"


Are you sure this is the correct person? as you have said she was born Boston Lincs...This one was born Bucks

Just realised something.

She was 46 years old when she married. Possibly left it too late to have kids.

I've been looking this one for far too long and couldn't see the wood for the trees (pun not intended)

Hi there. My brother, who had been googling his surname of Dury, came across this and told me about it today. George Dury was my great grandfather (my maiden name was Dury). Elizabeth was his second wife. he had no children by her but had a number of children by his first wife. I have a photograph of George and Elizabeth taken, I should think, in Victoria Road, Southborough. There is a girl in the photo whom my aunt told me was the lodger as mentioned in the census. If I can work out how to post the photo on here, I will do so.
