Hi. Does anyone know if an FMP address search is possible for 1841 census? If it is, I would really appreciate it if someone could check this for me please. I just need to know if there is anyone named James or Eliza Street living on Henry St. B'ham. Many thanks. Jan x

Thanks very much for looking safc & Maddie. It was always a long shot!
I got this address from a marriage cert, that of James Street to Eliza Eccleston in B'ham 1840. Eliza was born 1817, so would have been about 23, & James was a minor.
They had a son William born 1841. He appears in 1851 & 61 with his grandparents, then disappears . I have never found a single trace of James & Eliza after their marriage.
I just wondered if Henry St. might offer a clue, but it seems not!
Thanks again x

Hi Dea, thanks for reply. I have wondered about that census entry, but not 100% sure, as I can't make any sense of it! It feels like it must be them, but Eliza almost certainly married James Street prior to William's birth. So, if it is her, within six months of William's birth (and 9 months of her marriage) they took on the name Banner. James seems to have totally disappeared, the above Eliza disappears after 1841, and Willliam after 1861!!! Jan x

Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you !!
Absolutely bloody brilliant Dea & Maddie. I just never considered the possibility that James would marry under his birthname Street, then adopt his stepfather's name of Banner.
I have often thought that the occupation of glass-blower should really have been of some use, and so it turns out to be!
What a brilliant team on here, I can't thank you enough.
