Burberow, West London in 1750s

Burberow has always been a difficult name to research and has been spelt in a variety of ways from Burborough to Barbrow . I think I have now found pretty well, a whole family as follows:

Boaz Burberow, the father, a Carpenter from St Anne Soho born 1725.
Wife Unknown
Children
Charlotte, Elizabeth, Matthew, Boaz, William and John
I suspect another 3 sisters.
This is actually based on the slenderest of evidence, in part, Apprenticeship records, as follows.
My Ancestor was Elizabeth Burberow. She married James Wiggett.at Kensington in 1775. The eldest son, James Boaz Wiggett left a PCC Will naming Matthew Burberow as his Uncle.
Matthew Burberow was a Witness at Charlotte's Wedding and she at his.
Boaz, son of Boaz was apprenticed to James Wiggett.
William Burberow was apprenticed to his Father.

Boaz (1725) would have had to have been married in the late 1740s as all of the potential siblings listed above were most certainly born between about 1750 and 1765.

The problem is that I cannot find a single Baptism for any of them
My best guess would be that Boaz's wife may have been a Catholic, in which case she would have insited on her children being baptised in the Catholic faith, but how can I find out? Perhaps there are other alternatives I have not considered.
I am currently unable to travel.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Yes I am aware of all of those and can add some more as well, There were two families, namely that of John and the other of Boaz, born about 1690.
Boaz married MMary Palmer by Licence when he was 30 and had children John Ruth, Boaz Mary and Paul.
Boaz, son of Boaz was signed up for an apprecieship 20 May 1739.
This is the Boaz who was the father of the potential siblings above.
Incidently the Boaz born 1722 did not survive.

Thank you maryan
Correct on both counts. Boaz 1690 to 1758, a Carpenter of St Ann Soho.
Boaz, his son was baptised 28 Feb 1724/5 at St Clement Danes. But you can only work out the date by studying the image from FMP itself.

It still does not solve the problem of who was the wife of Boaz and where are the Baptisms for
Elizabeth Wiggett nee Burberow Abt 1750 to 1813
Boaz Burberow Abt 1753 to 1819
William Burberow Abt 1754
Matthew Burberow Abt 1756 to Aft 1826
Charlotte Burberow Abt 1760
John Burberow Abt 1764 to 1816

In each case I can tell you who they married and what children they had but not where they were Baptised.

Thank you Chris.
I had missed that one, probably because all the others had been through the Guild of Master Taylors which by that time was open to all businessmen.

But yes, I have been around for a while and my tree keeps growing. The best copy is currently on Ancestry as Hakes 2014

Did you also comment on "King Charles" ?.

My research had to take a back seat two years ago after I went blind. Fortunately I now have enough sight back to use the Computer although I will never drive again.

I have had to alter the provisional date for Charlotte's birth to about 1754 following my finding the Marriage License Allegation for her wedding in November 1784.

Unusually I note that it was She who applied for the License and she quotes her age as "Thirty years and upwards".
