Hi safc Errington household in Marx Terrace was in Chopwell my father is on that one John b 16/04/1930.
Coquet St. was also in Chopwell,looks like that is George im looking for.

So probably this birth if the month and day are wrong as well as the year in your OP and the 1939 is correct

Looks like the birth date is correct in 1939, i have found death in 1964 for a George aged 59 which looks like correct one.
