Does anyone have access to this please? I am looking for a family named Butler who lived in lychford road, Andover, Hants. I only know the daughters name which is Eileen Butler. Who else was in the house at the time, and any other info would be much appreciated

I can't find an Eileen Butler living in Andover in 1939. Do you know when Eileen was born?

Eileen would not be on the 1939 Register if she was born after 1915 and was not known to have died before about 1991.

FMP is in the process of updating records, and opening closed records, but it is a slow job.

Found by Google ................... there is a Lynchford Road in Andover ............. could this be what you meant?

I still could not find Lynchford Road on the 1939 Register.

Sylvia- I don't have access but this address is coming up on the address search of the 1939:

Lynchford Road Farnborough U.D. Hampshire England

No Butler's are coming up on the search at this address

There seem to be 132 residences in Lynchford Rd but on a combined search there does not appear to be a 'Butler' in any of them so they would have to be opened individually to check.

Many seem to be large houses and Villas, individually named e.g Camberley Hall, Harrington House, or establishments e.g Police Station, C of C Institute etc - Do you have any detail on the rest of the address please?

Thank you all so very much, I misspelled the name of the road Should have been Lynchford Road Andover apologies to all. This was the road she said she lived in but it could be as said she being born after 1915 many thanks everyone Mary :-(

It could be that she/her family moved there after 29 Sep 1939, the date the register was complied.
Another reason for being missed off is that the family are on the 'late register' ie hadn't submitted their return by then. People who were already in the Forces are on a seperate one which is not in the public domain.
