It's very clear, Mark, that the one that you posted the death of in your opening post is not the son of Edgar & Maggie. He's the son of Harry & Mary in Saddleworth, Yorkshire.

So the question now is which one are you interested in?

EDIT: I notice in your tree that you have him born 1906, Ramsbottom so why did you say 1907 in your opening post? Trying to match the death of the other George Edward?

In that case I would say that the death that you have is for the one born 1907, Saddleworth since the one with parents Edgar & Maggie was born 1906, Ramsbottom, Lancs.

I am looking into the above named gentleman, who is a great great nephew of my 2x great grandmother.

I am hoping someone may be able to confirm I have found the correct death record for him. Also I have been unable to find a marriage record if he did in fact get married.
