Going slightly cross-eyed here so some steady eyes would be appreciated.
I am looking for the details of the parents of David Spink born 1891 in Walsall, Staffordshire and died 1955 in Wakefield. He married Laura Morton in 1912 in Heckmondwike and is stated to be a miner. His father is down as John William Spink (currier)
I think I have found John William on the 1871
Name:John W Spink Age: 12 Estimated birth year:abt 1859 Relation: Son Father's name:James Spink Mother's name: Mary Ann Spink Gender: Male Where born:Walsall, Staffordshire, England Civil Parish: Walsall Ecclesiastical parish:St Matthew Town:Walsall County/Island:Staffordshire Registration district: Walsall Sub-registration district: Walsall ED, institution, or vessel: 33 Household schedule number: 49 Piece:2965 Folio:26 Page Number:11
Household Members: James Spink 47 Mary Ann Spink 50 James Spink 14 John W Spink 12 Clara Spink 10 David Spink 8 Mary J Spink 7 Alice Spink 5 Elizabeth Jackson 13
Can't pinpoint on the 1881
John William Spink on the 1891 - leather currier
Name: John W Spink Age: 31 Estimated birth year: abt 1860 Relation: Head Spouse's Name: Sarah E Spink Gender: Male Where born: Walsall, Staffordshire, England Civil Parish: Walsall Foreign Piece: 2254 Folio: 90 Page Number:18
Household Members: John W Spink 31 Sarah E Spink 32 Mary A Spink 12 Willm E Spink 9 Hannah Spink 6 Sarah Spink 5 Thomas Spink 3 Can't find John William on the 1901
(I think I have found David on the 1901 (FMP) on the registers of Palfrey Boys School, Walsall. His parents are named as 'Spink (Mrs Clews) John.' Digging around a bit via the address given - 226 Sandwell St. Walsall, Mrs Clews appears to be a housekeeper.)
Cannot find a relative marriage for John William Spink and Sarah E.......?
Cannot pinpoint John William on 1911 but there is a death which would fit in that year. Mind you, David's marriage cert in 1912 doesn't state that his father is deceased.....but.........
All in all I am ready to throw my laptop through the window...............so any advice/clarification would be most welcome. Thank you.

UPDATE
On his second marriage in 1903 John states he is a widower - but I sure can't find the death of his first wife Sarah. Can anyone else?
She was on the 1891 census but John is boarding in the 1901.
I am beginning to wonder about bigamy?
