Googling doesn't bring up much about Blackpool children's homes. |

There is no reason to assume she is dead - she will only be 85. |

There are a few marriages in Lancashire of a Patricia Mather between 1950 and 1960. I will send them by pm. |

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas to help. We are trying to trace my husbands mother Patricia Hetherington born in Blackpool 3/7/31 to Florence Hetherington of 237 Warley Rd Blackpool. No fathers details. Pat married Frank Mather in Blackpool in 1949 and had 2 children but left about 1954. She made contact with the children a few years later and had re married ? and had other children. I have checked the Blackpool address in the 1939 census but a different name is listed at that address. We know she is probably dead by now but there seems to be no trace. Does anybody know if you can trace children's home details in Blackpool in the thirties? Thanks |
