I really like the sound of that second one, but they apparently have Bridget in 1824, Ann in 1826, and then Maria (possibly a second one of course) in 1829, all born in Otford, Kent.
I think 1825 for a marriage sounds more likely than 1814, don't you?

That's great, thanks so much. Not having access to Irish records, I don't know how many marriages between a Michael and an Ellen(a) there would be. I suppose what I'm asking is how likely is it that that record is the actual one I'm looking for.
They seemed to have their first English born child in 1824, and then every 1 or 2 years until 1836. Would it be likely that a Catholic couple would have no children for 10 years after marriage, or should I be able to find any Irish born offspring? I'm sorry but I don't quite know where to look next.
Thanks again

There won't be any record of them traveling from Ireland to England as they were both part of the same country at that time.

Hi Would any one be able to look something up for me in Irish records? I have a Michael Keating born 1776 and his wife Ellen, also born Ireland about 1796. I can find no record of them travelling to England, nor of them marrying, and I would love to be able to go back a bit further.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
