Hi

I am looking for relatives of Edith M Holding who married William H Avis .... married 1938 Lewes Sussex

Known to have a daughter Rachel Anne 1939. What is not known there was twins born 1936 Edmonton. These twins were adopted One of these twins is my relative and desperately trying to find firstly her twin sister and off course meet with her other sister when the time is ready.

Have you tried following up on Rachel and looking for the deaths of the parents

I see you have Edith as having passed in 1980

The informant on the certs could be a relation

Try looking in members trees too to see if any of them are in someone's tree

Rachel was born and married in Buckinghamshire

Thank you for all your information guys I have been in touch with Rachel via email etc but she didn't want to meet aunty because her dad was still around and I gather he didn't know about aunty and twin. now aim is to find twin hopefully but not knowing her adopted name up stream with out a paddle comes to mind :-S

As per my reply to your pm. Put an addendum on FreeBMD to the name of the twin you are looking for give your email address so if she or her famiiy look for her original birth ref they will see your interest

Also add your name to the Adoption contact register
