I did think that the marriage to Caroline Tyler in Godalming 5/07/1833 could have been his second one even though record says he was a bachelor.I can't find either James or Caroline in 1841 |

Am I missing something? Are you just assuming that the James that died in 1851 is the correct man? If the Sarah that died in 1823 is correct then she was born c1781. |

I don't think the 1841 census is correct, adjusting the contrast on the image it looks like James' surname possibly starts with an 'M' and ends in 'der'. |

Think he is one of those so faded out on pages, that you wouldn't be able to tell, above was just added as an example... |
