Citing this Record - ...FHL microfilm 101,186.

A lookup in FS catalog of FHL microfilm 101,186:
Quarterly returns of births in Ireland, 1864-1955, with index to births, 1864-1921
Author: Ireland. General Register Office; Ireland. General Register Office; Ireland. Custom House

Magheraculmoney Lurg Ederny
Drumkeeran Lurg Ederny
Drumkeeran Lurg Clonelly

Although the record says "Christening Place 165, EDERNEY, FERM, IRE", I don't think it's a record of a christening. I think it's a record from the GROI index.

It sounds like Ederney is a very small place. I wonder if maybe the christening was done at their home ... maybe the baby didn't live, something else to look into.

Thanks for your help.

If you search on familysearch just using birth place as 165 Ederney, lots of results (of different surnames) come up for around 1870s, also the same for 162/ 163/ 164 Ederney etc.

I wonder if the numbers are reference or page numbers, rather that house/ address numbers? It's difficult to know without seeing the original entry.

On familysearch I found a baptism for a female child born to Robert Speer and Catharine Hicks. The address for the baptism is 165 Ederney, Fermanagh ... any suggestions about this address, a house or a church???
