Hello MargaretM,
Thank you for your replys and the article on my Grandfather Walters demise he was actually brought back from the war to help in the mines along with the Bevin boys we believe .Walter was a twin when born but his brother died (Thomas) and those are his brothers Alec ,James & Thomas there was also a sister Margaret who was known in the family as Peggy but i can not find anything on her as yet.Mona Norrie (Hay) was my Great Grandmother but it seems she may of been married before or had a child out of wedlock because of the son John Hay (aged 7 1911 census) and the same census saying 3 children when only 2 are named it also seems she may of used the names Hayes as well in her teenage + years for some reason.James Norrie (1883) was my Great Grandfather originally from Aberdeenshire i believe his parents are James & Catherine Norrie both born 1858 in Scotland.
