FUNERAL OF THe LATE MR. JENSEN. The funeral of the late Mr. Hans Jensen, who passed over to the sil- lent majority on Tuesday morning last, took place on Wednesday aftcr- noon. The funeral arrangements were In the hands of Mr. Garland. The. funeral moved .from the de- ceased's late residence for the South Kolon Cemetery and was followed by a large cortege of relations and friends to the last resting place -Mr. Jensen was one of the earliest resi- dents in this district and with him has passed away yet another of the pioneers in the history of settle- ment in this districts. Through pluck, energy and hardwork he car- ried out for himself and family a comfortable home. We extend our sincere sympathy to the widow and family in their sad bereavement,— --------------------------------
'After a long and painful illness, Mr. Hans Jensen, of Lundholme South Kolan, died at his residcnce last night. He came Queensland In 1874 and to Bundaberg in 1875 and afterwards made his home in South Kolan, where he resided until his death. He leaves n widow and grown up family of four daughters and two sons. The funeral takes place at 3 this afternoon ---------------------------------------------

Married 1868 in Denmark to Hanne Marie Nielsdatter (1847–1873) , who died at sea, along with their baby son.
Then remarried in 1878 to Marie Christina Carlsson.
No proof offered of his birth, first marriage, or death of wife and son.

Doing some research for a friend,
where was Hans Christian Jensen born 1844, the trees on Ancestry some say Denmark others Sweden, all seem to have the same family information, spouse Maria Christina Carlsson he died 1912 Bundaberg Queensland my friends grandfather was his son Charles Magnus Jensen.
