Well, at least the 1911 census I posted on page 1 seems to be the right one - he's John Thomas, not John Henry as you said at first:
In which case -
John T Quimby in the 1901 England Census Name: John T Quimby Age: 24 Estimated birth year: abt 1877 Relation to Head: Son Gender: Male Mother: Elizabeth Quimby Birth Place: West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England Civil Parish: Fazeley Ecclesiastical parish: Fazeley St Paul Town: Fazeley County/Island: Staffordshire Country: England Street address: Occupation: Condition as to marriage: Registration district: Tamworth Sub-registration district: Fazeley ED, institution, or vessel: 8 Neighbors: View others on page Piece: 2653 Folio: 29 Page Number: 23 Household schedule number: 140 Household Members: Name Age Elizabeth Quimby 50 John T Quimby 24
Not that it helps with the search for Catherine / Kate!
John Thomas Quimby in the England, Select Births and Christenings, 1538-1975 Name: John Thomas Quimby Gender: Male Baptism Date: 3 Oct 1875 Baptism Place: St. Peters, West Bromwich, Stafford, England Father: Joseph Quimby Mother: Elizabeth FHL Film Number: 1526218

The information I have so far from a family member is that john Thomas Quimby was born Oct 1875. 1st married Louisa Rebecca ? who died November 1913 Kings Norton 2nd marriage under the name of Smith was to Annie Shilcock who had 2 sons John Henry in 1914 and Joseph Bryan 1916. Annie died 1921. 3rd marriage was to Catherine/Kate Eason April1922. four children William,Margaret,Tom, Frederick. they lived in Nuneaton. Catherine/Kate we think had a sister Harriet but no more is known. Margaret said she would never tell her anything Fairly sure she may have come from the poor house as a domestic to John Henry before they married. On the marriage cert she put her fathers name as Thomas Henry Eason deceased ex miner

Message from David:
"She put her father as Thomas Henry Eason,Coal Miner Deceased. We think she had a sister called Harriet and that is about all that we know. The entry in the paper we knew about but thanks for the help"
David, it's easier if you reply using the "Add your reply" box at the bottom of the page- that way everyone can see the information and you're more likely to get help :)

On the 1939 register I posted earlier John Henry has an 1875 birthdate, which may have been modified as he was so much older than Catherine/Kate, there is also this person who predates the marriage, so might be from an earlier marriage?
Joseph B Smith 02 Jun 1916 Male Stamper Of Forging Heavy Worker Single 171 3
Possible birth:
Births Jun 1916 Smith Joseph B Shilcock Nuneaton 6d 1231
from this marrage?
Marriages Mar 1915 Shilcock Annie Smith Nuneaton 6d 839 Smith John H Shilcock Nuneaton 6d 839
Possible death for wife Annie, but Annie Smith is a common name.
Deaths Mar 1921 Smith Annie 38 Nuneaton 6d 722

Can't see anything much for John either, for that matter. Where and when was he born? How old was he at marriage? Could this be him, considerably older than Kate?

Or this one, even older?

This is probably a red herring, but the nearest death of a Kate M Smith born 9th May as per the 1939 register, is this one, born 1893, not 1894.
Name: Kate May Smith Birth Date: 7 May 1893<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Date of Registration: Mar 1980 Age at Death: 86 Registration district: Thurrock Inferred County: Essex Volume: 9 Page: 3479
Speculative. Address 20 Church St Grays, Essex, Probate Ipswich Died 28th march 1980
