Having looked further, I believe it does say fire station on the image and the most likely explanation is that the school had been temporarily taken over by the AFS. (Auxiliary Fire Service). |

Actually, the first part of the address is 'Sloane School' , Hortensia Rd. which was an actual school and the building is still standing but up for sale for development. |
