Having a look at BDMs in Kiltimagh in Mayo and Ivors/Ivers was a very common name.
There were multiple couples, all having children in the 1860's and many lived in the same area but they do look like they were all related?
I can't find any baptism for John at present but, most of the families that I found all had a son named Thomas.
The most obvious couple were called Thomas Ivors and Mary Walsh who married in 1856.

Think you are correct Greyghost
John Ivers b 1865 to Patrick Ivers and Ann Lavan is not the person that Kaza is looking for.
The 1905 marriage does appear to be this one The address & name of his father both match and a witness was called Patrick LAVAN who married his sister Catherine
Back to the drawing board then.
