I can't see any of them in 1911 - 37 Pretoria Road is occupied by a different family
But there was a son registered in the same district in 1914
I know you only asked for 1911, but I'm stuck indoors waiting for a delivery, and this helps to pass the time.
I was also hoping the info may give some clues..........................so far, it hasn't!

Wow ladies thank you so much
ErikaH Alice Elizabeth Finley??
You found Jane and son William Hy Hardy re Poor Law Union, Hackney Settlement Papers. William Residence date 9/7/1924 when he was 10 . Jane Cardy age 39 was also recorded there in the Infirmary 5/8/24 till 2/9/24 Against Jane's name said ceased to be charged. From abt 1923 to 1929 they were living at 1 Homer Road Hackney Was the entry because they were poorly? Against Jane's name says ceased to be chargeable.
Thank you Rose

Re: Alice Elizabeth Finley
Find the names of Jane's children and follow-through on freebmd
No idea why the settlement papers were issued
|
Many people benefited from the hospital facilities in workhouses without being paupers or inmates.
I imagine Jane was just a hospital patient, and "ceased to be chargeable" when she recovered and went home.
Ditto William. Jane seems to have entered the infirmary on the same day that William left.

Thank you again, you have been fantastic as always
