I have found the details of an ancestor in a paperwork when clearing a family house.
John Cockayne born October 25th 1944, Died January 30th 1956.
He may have lived in Newhall Derbyshire. I am struggling to find anymore information for him, to confirm he is related to my paternal Grandmothers line of Cockaynes. Can anyone help as no census to research. Thank you.

Start by finding his birth registration on freebmd - it will tell you MMN and allow you to work back - or sideways I’m sure you know how to access and use freebmd

This him? He died end of 1956 though.

Thank you all for your help, after I had failed to find any link.
It looks like George's Dad could be my Paternal Grandmothers brother then, which confirms the link to the family. I will now look to find the other sibling mentioned as born in Staffordshire 1948. Thank you all again for your help.

The 1948 child appears to have married in Enfield in 1974, and was living in Derbyshire in 2008. Property hasn't been sold since then, so possibly still there.
Two children, born 1978 Derbyshire, and 1981 Staffordshire.
The 1978 child had a business address in Thame in 2018 (see Electoral Roll under "Search" at top right of this page) , and is still active with the company (per a Companies House record), so presumably still contactable at that address.

My Paternal Grandmother was Florence Amelia, born 1886. Sadly she died in 1932 when my Dad was 5. Very strange, that my Mum was born on the same day and year that Florence died. Many thanks again.

Thank you for your help. I am interested how you found the details of the other brother born and details. Do you have any names you could share by private message? Thank you

Thank you. That would be amazing. Look forward to hearing from you.
