Hackneys in Cheadle Cheshire I am researching my Hackney ancestors and have lots of links with the Cheadle Moseley area where the earliest Hackney I have is William who was a corn Miller there and married to Mary ( william is listed as being born in Rostherne /Tatton in 1793 or 4 and then settled in Cheadle where he brought up his 5 children who all remained in the same area of Cheadle/ Stockport Recurring family names are: William, John, James, Joseph, Ann, Elizabeth, Mary, Margaret anyone with any links - I would love to hear from you and compare trees Debbie |
