My Grandmothers sister, Edith Shepherd B.26/1/1886 married a Fred Bowditch
from Beaminster, in 1916

I am trying to trace this side of the family . are we connected ?

Bowditch My Family is from Bridport Dorset, My Grandfather's name was Arthur William Bowditch and was working for the McAlisters, and he married my Grandmother Pam McAlister. All I know about my grandfather that he died in 1968-1969, I would like any information about him as I have tried to Locate him of the census but I don't know what year he was born or if he was from Bridport, Dorset. McAlister Also Any information on the McAlister Family, My Grt-Grandmother was called Georgina May not sure of Maiden Name, and my Grt-Grandfather McAlister was a gentry and from Scotland and had a McAlister Family Crest, thats all I know about him and that he was in the Boar War had connections with Lord Mountbatten. They both lived in bridport Dorset.
