You gave me a great deal of information previously which helped a great deal!
Can you help me with another birth? I am now looking for the birth of my Gt Gt Gt Grandmother Elizabeth Stevenson. Her father's name is Matthew Stevenson - I do not know her mother. Later census seem to read Narborough/Leicester as her birthplace. Would be 1810-1816 taking ages from later census information.

I see from the I.G.I. Batch No’s.records

We get :~

Sophia. Daughter of Benjamin & NANNY Hayes
Bapt. 26th. January.

It looks like the translator got carried away by writing NANNY
for several other Baptisms in the name of Hayes……
namely JOHN & Nanny Hayes…….

But I also see that there are several Baptisms for children of …..

Benjamin & SARAH Hayes. …1806. through to 1813.

Which would match up with the following Marriage.:~ …….

1805.
St: Andrew’s Parish Church. Kirby Muxloe. Leicestershire
( Which is the next village to Glenfield. )

Benjamin Hayes. ~ Sarah HARDY.

I have not found the actual date of the above marriage ...Yet
But I see it was conducted by LICENCE. …..

Therefore there will be Extra Information via the Marriage Bonds
Held at the Records Office. ……Along with the original Marriage Register

So with your authorization. …….
I can have a look at all the events I have found
And report back on this thread with my findings………….

Hello Mike
I am trying to find the birth/baptism of my Gt Gt Grandmother Emma Sculthorpe. Her parents were Thomas Sculthorpe and Elizabeth Stevenson married Saint Margaret Leicester 26th June 1836.
Emma is 4 on 1841 census The Newarks Leicester. I know that Elizabeth was widowed in 1839. She does not appear on BMD - so I presume Emma was born before the records started in 1837.

Hi Mike

I am trying to work out the parents of Sophia Hayes baptised I believe January 1811 in Glenfield.
I think her fathers name may be Benjamin Hayes.

By the 1830's Sophia her two sisters and who I believe to be her father are all in Barnsley. On the 1841 census Benjamin is on his own with son also Benjamin.

we have no idea where thomas and sophia where born but presume leicester, there is such a gap between both girls was wondering if you could uncover an more information siblings anything appreciated
