Pete's fan base must be huge :-0. Same thing happened with, I think, Dan Walker a few years back...he got through to the Qtr Finals too and was the weakest dancer:-0

Such a shame to see Jamie and Montell in the dance off but I think the Judges made the right choice and it was good it was unanimous :-). I have to say I too much preferred Montell's dance too :-). Such a shame for Jamie but he had enjoyed the experience :-)

I was pleased that Chris got through as it wasn't his best dance :-0

Musical Week next week which I always like :-)

As Belle said, we both posted long sagas this morning and they have been whoosed. TBA I cant repeat it all again.

Pete and Jamie in the dance off :-0 :-0

AnninGlos Report 24 Nov 2024 11:34

Sadly I think Jamie will be in the dance off. I do like him and he is so enjoying it all. and I agree with Belle, Pete had really made a big improvement but is still way behind the others.

I am not sure about the Rumba-athon. Not sure the judging was fair as it can't have been possible to see all the dancers. And it must have been a nightmare for Chris. Interesting to see that JB won that as he likes dancing in a group as he is used to it and the other celebrities are not.

LondonBelle Report 24 Nov 2024 11:18

I did Post a long message along with Maddie but they seemed to have been whooshed :-S

My dance of the night was Tasha's American Smooth :-) The lifts on previous Smooths seemed to be a distraction but last night I thought her lifts were graceful and very much part of the dance.....she thoroughly deserved a mark of 40 :-)

Although Pete did well, I do think he was the weakest dancer and should be in the dance off this week:-0. Not sure who with though :-S. Possibly Jamie :-0. With Pete to go :-(

yes getting more difficult now and some of them will have to 'up' their performance a bit more. Including Pete.

Yes Pete did look shocked not to be in the dance off and I thought he was moving as if he had an ant in those tight pants. Wynne is great entertainment and I thought of Ronnie Barker when he pranced in on that hobby horse. Always smiling too and has has improved such a lot, but Montel is a better dancer. I thought it might be touch and go on their dances on the night though, as I didn't like Montel's at all. A lot of it seemed a bit 'samey' to me and not much armography for a Salsa. Sarah is very good, but all the amazing lifts she's been doing in her dances are more gymnast off the floor than footwork. I never could stand her silly character in Miranda either. Chris is a dream and how on earth he gets so much right like frame and posture for each dance is amazing when he can't see. Dianne is a fantastic teacher to get him to such a good standard. Who will be next I wonder. So much depends on the dance they get too.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 18 Nov 2024 08:51

Agree with both, Sorry to see Wynne go, and I guess his co celebrities will be too, I think he would have kept them smiling. But of the two it was the right decision. Yes, Pete has obviously got a large following, plus those people who maybe didn't like Wynne. I did catch something the other day that Pete was on and he seems a really nice person. Even he was shocked not to be in the dance off I think.

I was sorry to see Wynne go too. He was a good sport and and threw himself into the training and dancing.

I agree Pete has probably got a big fanbase with TOWIE.

LondonBelle Report 18 Nov 2024 07:05

It was sad to see Wynne go :-(. Out of the two it was the right choice :-0. Pete must have a huge fan base :-0. He is a likeable person, lovely eyes, but he is the weakest dancer....I wonder if this series will be like the Dan Walker one where his fans got him through the quarter finals :-0. Only time will tell :-D

I do agree that Wynne Jamie and Pete are the ones that could be in the dance off . I think Pete was uncomfortable in that outfit and that made his dance awkward. What were they thinking in the wardrobe dept.?

Sarah and Vito just didn't do anything for me. They didn't stand out from the backing dancers enough which I assume is what Craig meant with his remarks.

Chris and Diane Wow!! Better and better.

JB and Lauren's dance was enjoyable to watch, they certainly used the floor space.

I actually really liked Tasha's dance this week. She is a lovely dancer to watch.

A bit disappointed in Montell's dance this week but not sure why .

I wish that Shirley and Motsi would calm down a bit. Far to excitable at times.

Keep dancing folks.

:-D :-D :-D

I was finding Carlos aggravating as he seemed to be always in front of the camera. I wonder if they gave him a 'special' part to play as he didn't have a partner?

I enjoyed the show and I do like to see the interaction with other dancers on the floor. I thought Chris coped very well with that. I actually thought Pete's outfit spray on trousers and see through shirt was a bit sleazy but maybe it was meant to be. I think it is time for him to go.
Loved seeing the joy on Jamie's face in the jive and Wynne does comedy well but I think two of the three, Wynne, Pete or Jamie will be in the dance off.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 17 Nov 2024 08:10

No fish, no hats, but I got the chips right :-D :-D :-D

How great to see and hear the Pet Shop Boys last night, they may not look the same, but the singing was spot on. :-)
I am never in favour of the backing dancers, as I find it distracting, but that is a personal view.

Chris, once again never ceases to amaze me. What a wonderful relationship he has with Dianne. The American Smooth was light, and elegant, and fully deserved the 37 marks. <3

I felt that Montells' Salsa was a bit stilted to be honest, she could have let herself go a bit more like she did in her Couples Choice a few weeks back.

Sarah with her dance. I am glad Craig said it was Bob Fosse, because I was thinking that exact same thing when it started. A complete copy of a dance I had seen before in the film. Sweet Charity. They are getting too excitable too for me.

Wynne reverted back to comedy for his Charleston. I know it should be reckless and funny as a dance, but I think it was a pastiche. Not his best dance.

Pete, what can we say about Pete and his pink spray on trousers? He send Shirley all of a flutter, again.

JB's Quickstep was light and snappy, and he travelled around the floor with ease. Tasha was dramatic with her Paso, and Jaime threw himself into his Jive. I quite liked him with his quiff, it suited him.

I wonder why Carlos keeps putting himself to the front with Claudia, he has dyed his hair blonde this week.

Once again Dave Arch and his singers were only mentioned at the end of the programme. Not good enough. :-|

I think it may be Wynne and Pete in the dance off. but not sure who will go.

I enjoyed Blackpool, I like it when they introduce other dancers to the sequence :-). I thought they all did very well and made for a very entertaining night :-)

Chris's American Smooth was for me one of dances of the night :-). Each week I say I don't know how he does it but I don't :-D. He is just so light on his feet and is quite fearless and confident. Dianne, as always, needs a mention as a teacher and partner :-). Both are A-maa-zing :-D

Montell's Salsa was good but I don't think her best dance :-0. I know it's silly but I found her trainers a distraction from the dance :-0. I know they were part of the outfit but nevertheless they made her look as if she was plodding in them :-0

Sarah's Couples Choice I thought was very good :-). I like the Fosse style of dance and thought she carried it off very well :-D

Wynne's Charleston was different and not the traditional Charleston :-0. Some parts I thought were very clever but then others not so keen on :-0

Pete's Cha Cha Cha, well what can you say :-D. His pink trousers were just something else :-D. He has done well considering what he was like in Week 1 but he did have a lot of catching up to do and still has :-0

JB's Quickstep was good and he certainly covered the floor but from a wardrobe point of view I would have preferred him to be in tails :-)

Tasha's Paso was very strong and I rather enjoyed it, she wasn't out of place with the other dancers either :-)

Jamie's Jive was jam packed full of energy but in saying that it lacked something not sure what though :-0

Dances of the night for me were Chris, Sarah & Tasha :-D

I wasn't so keen on, in no particular order, Wynne, Pete and Jamie:-0. Not sure of Pete's fan base but feel he should be in the dance off together with Jamie.... with Pete to go :-0. As we know though it could be anyone in the dance off :-0 :-0

Presumably she has the casting vote because she is the senior judge. She is asl expert in her field but sometimes I wonder if, being human, she does have her personal favourites. Must be hard to ignor that.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 11 Nov 2024 17:08

I agree about the lifts they are becoming a distraction from the dance :-0

I think there have been a couple of Viennese Waltzs early on ....I much prefer ballroom to latin especially when the man dresses in tails :-)

If I recall there has only been one Charleston and that was Sam again early on :-0

I wonder who gets to choose the dance each week :-0 Does the Pro dancer choose or are they told what dance to do? :-)

I have to say that I was surprised that Shirley picked Wynne too especially with her latin dance background and agree with JustGinnie that Shirley's choice of words could have been better as the Rumba isn't a joyous dance :-0

There seems to be a lot of noise online that Shirley has the deciding vote but they are the rules and always have been :-)

JustGinnie

JustGinnie Report 11 Nov 2024 14:38

I was really sorry to see Shane in the dance off again . I wasn't a fan of Wynne's dance but it was good and the trick with the dress did make it stand out .
I did find it strange that Shirley chose Wynne because his dance was more joyous as Shane's dance was not meant to be joyous so the comparison was wrong imo.

Sarah seemed to spend more time in the air than dancing. I feel it's more about Vito than Sarah.

Montell and Tasha both did beautiful dances.
Pete was an emotional wreck but danced well.
Jamie was not as good as I expected.

Does anyone else think that there haven't been as many waltz's danced this year and what has happened to the Charleston ? Maybe they are keeping them for Blackpool.

Annx

Annx Report 11 Nov 2024 09:40

I thought Shane was really unlucky to have had the Rumba on the week before Blackpool. It must feel awkward for men, as any exercise they do doesn't often involve the kind of movement and not many of them score high with that dance.

Is it me, or do there seem to be getting more and more lifts? Very brave, dramamtic and impressive, but being in the air means less footwork to do. It's becoming more gymnastic and you'd have had people's teeth out doing some of those at a local dance! :-D
