You don’t say whether you are looking for current members of the family or past ones.

Both names turn up on Search/ search all members trees but they are all 1800’s births.
You can contact those members by sending them a pm. If their contact details are up to date they will get a notification.

What sort of time period are you looking at? eg.

There are 2 possible marriages Hobden to Eager (both in Sussex) showing on the free to use site - https://www.freebmd.org.uk

Q4 1839 Sarah Hobden in the Lewes Registration District - need to chase up which groom married which bride

Q4 1872 William Hobden in the same RD to Ellen Tullett and Joseph Cooper to Sarah Jane Eager

and a definite -
Q4 1950 William T Hobden in the Hove RD to Lillian A Eager

It would have been better to post this on find Ancestors or Living Relatives and to give more details of what you know and where you have looked for information.

Curious..... Why would it have been better for Maria to have posted on Find Ancestors or Living Relatives? The boards are nowhere near as busy as they used to be so there's little chance of any threads getting lost. I look at most boards in minutes as there's so little traffic.

I don’t think everyone does look at all the boards.

Also I don’t think any of the boards are as busy as they used to be. A research request on this board could sink out of view if this one suddenly became busy.

I have no clue as to whether everyone looks at all the boards but is it not an interest in genealogy which brought us all here - so capable of helping searchers.

No indeed. None of the boards are as busy as they used to be. I highly doubt that 'chat' will suddenly be come busy - A research request on any board could sink if the boards 'suddenly became busy.
All the more reason for enquirers to be allowed to post across the boards and reach more people.
