Ann, my BVRI discs for Sainsbury births in Wiltshire start 1547. Mind you the spelling varies Sansbury/Sainsbury/Saynsbery/Saynsburye etc. Most of the earlier records are in Trowbridge but there's also Westbury, Corsham, Downton etc. |

Sorry, Ann, can't find a birth of Robert that matches datewise. Nothing between one born 1732, Urchfont (too early I think) and one 1752, Bratton (too late because he would only have been 11 when he married). |

BVRI is British Vital Records Index, a set of 16 cd's that I purchased many years ago from LDS (Familysearch). They're no longer for sale but I understand that the records are now on Worldwide Ancestry. Much easier to search though on the discs. |
