You are amazing!! All the research you've done fits in with my Grandfather, who was Albert Victor, and his mother, Mary Dowding nee Bowles born in Wiltshire. Can't thank you enough, I'd drawn a complete blank on Eibie/Lubie. Can quite understand why he reverted to his more conventional middle names, I would've too. It also identifies the story behind the old carpenter's chest we found when clearing my father's house. That now fills in a big chunk of my family tree, Brilliant. Genes is the most supportive family history website ever. :-) |
