HI Jane yes it was not for long but did enough to flood us
we seem to have a problem with a skylight near the door
and downstairs loo .I am seing Beryl tomorrow surpose to be having egg and chips cannot manage to take her out again it was too much hard work her being somewhat crippled up. But who do I ask myself is cooking the egg and chips she promised hope it not a daughter.But it is the thought that counts. I have just walked Jasper such a yappy
little dog he is barks at everything.

HI Catie yes we are all dry now just about .Wimbledon handy for the tennis ever been. I watch the tennis on the tv
never miss a match that gets my hubbie mad. I would like to live in the country also this city is getting so full of people
and round here we get a lot of rubbish about. I told Shilrl thats where I would love to go Canada. I hope the laser treatment goes well . My hubby is laid back nothing bothers him and if it does he does not show it annoys me sometimes.
I think this statement taking takes time but they will get round to you if not give them a reminder, from past experience that is ,believe me, the times we have called out the police for rumpus outside our shop and damage.

Jane and everyone thank you for the ladder stories just before I go and do a huge sink of washing up not having a machine. Lots of bloody wet clothes to wash from son in law ,also towels ,wet 8 towels, mopping up so they all have to go in the wash and last night hubby spilt water all over my side of the bed. He
did not take the sheet off just got in his side my side was sopping.After all that water downstairs I dried up. I said get off the bed it is wet and he did not move so I shoved him really hard and he fell out plop on the floor he muttered something and went into the spare bedroom. I changed the bed clothes so they need doing. Today he was not speaking in fact he said ..Do not bother to come with me to the warehouse I do not want you .I said I am working he said
good perhaps they will stick a price tag on you and sell you. Anyway nice to know so many people have had trouble with ladders makes me less angry with
son in law whitewash all over the front and the borrowed ladder. Well thats
rested my tired legs after work now to brave the washing up and rest

It's taken me ages to read all the posts. Hello Catie, hope OH has got full vision now. Ralph is certainly going through it David, but I expect it takes time for everything to settle again. I do wish him well, the poor man has certainly been through a lot. Lovely photo Fiona, who is Sofia starting to look like?

It has been raining nearly all day here and a bit cold, I've put some slippers on, felt really weird after months of flip flops.

All this talk of ladders reminded me of when I was painting the sheds outside, I came down the ladder and put my foot straight into the paint pot, it wasn't emulsion either, had to throw away the shoes and I stank of white spirit for ages ....lol

Oh my gosh love that man Catia .I was really upset when he went out this year. I love the way he talks when interviewed .Roger is sweet. What is it about these medical things these days my arm was infected and I felt really ill and in pain and had to go and have it squeezed
it was painful full of infection and was told I had been let out of hospital to early but what would we do without these
things,Washing up done and washing in so thought I would relax If I met Roger would faint daft at my age.

Hedge cutting back on as rain stopped so we have been up at friends house, managed to get the back garden hedge cut and also a small one in the front. I helped to pick up after daughters boyfriend trimmed the hedges My back is aching a bit now so I will shortly be going for a good soak in a hot tub.

Poor Ralph he is certainly having it rough , hope he pulls through soon.

Maureen I think Sofia looks like her daddy now you can just see him in the corner of the photo smiling , Sofia has the same hair line and the same dark eyes , SIL has a very laid back nature , Unfortunately so far Sofia has my daughters temper and needs to be the centre of attention, especially when everyone is talking and no one is paying her any attention lol

Maureen that was not funny was it emulsion paint I have been answering a lot of messages today to take my mind
off my husbands behaviour really sulking because I pushed him out of bed but fancy getting in his side and leaving mine wet.He refuses to speak to me.

Fiona did not get any pictures from you thought you did mention some or have I got it wrong going to see who painted that picture now on art forum .how old is Sofia a bit like Sophia at my work that name .

I don't know where today has gone!First thanks Mel .That name of a farm that my Gt Gt Gt Grandfather lived /worked,I found.I have spoken to the lady who now lives there and she has said to ring back this evening to have a word with her husband,as he may be able to help with info or at least tell me where else to look.How exciting is that!!!!!!

David ,I'm sorry Ralph is having a bit of a rough time.Hopefully things will settle down soon for him.
Catie ,I have a feeling blurred vision is normal for some time after laser treatment.Hopefully things will be clearer in the morning.

I went for a Chinese with Fitz at lunchtime,and Catie his Dad only did some conducting in his younger days,and I think worked with some well known conductors.
Sheila I hope you have now got all that wet washing sorted!!!!!!.OH and I have some days when we don't speak lol.I would rather that than keep sniping at eachother,but a good snipe is good sometimes.

It is now 6 and I better start doing something for dinner.I am still full from lunch but the other 3 will be starving.

Maureen, it does feel strange to go back into slippers after wearing flip flops , although the first thing i do when i sit down is to kick my slippers off .
Poor Ralph , lets hope tomorrow will be a better day for him .

Sorry my computor is playing up today read your message again it was not emulsion paint Maureen that must have been awful and white spirit stinks terribly my computor keeps going off whenever I do anything I am reading or typing and off it shoots . I find its gone cold in a morning when I wake up I love flip flops and hate slippers once nearly killed myself in a pair of slippers. I was walking down the stairs and trod out of one and fell down the last
six and hit my head on the side of the last stair everything
went round and I did get up but it not very fast had a bruise like a plate on my rear.
Will give the computer a rest for a few days let everyone catch up typed so much will be fed up of me if not already.

The washing is done just drying it now but hubby is still sulking he got himself some fish and chips and said I do not want dinner .I said can I have a chip and he said no get your own silly moo lets hope he comes round soon.what with him and Beryl tomorrow need a break going to do some craft got a few days off from the charity shop.

I do not know if Beryl wants egg and chips now Mandy she did when I last saw her.I do not like egg and chips much eat them sometimes but it was her idea so will see what happens when I get there . I will get it fixed . I hope Ralph gets better butIi I expect the kidneys are adjusting to the reversal. I have a horseshoe kidney it means my two are fused together so have to be very careful. Was really ill in my thirties then a tube to my
kidney got blocked had a operation and was worried I would loose my weird kidneys but it went fine and touch wood no trouble since. bye everyone catch you all later on in the week nite nite all .

My daughter does that Mandy the real small stuff. I used to do rug making but got so many packed it in. No I do water colour painting and parchment work also make some birthday cards for a little shop not far from where we live.
I like to do scrapbooks but again have a lot. i like knitting
did myself a jumper last year but it went so big when it was washed it would have done for two people. Cross stitch is lovely wish I had the patience

ok will go and look Fiona before this computor decides to play up again I have had it years and could do with a new one

Well I rang the chap to see if he had any record of who had worked or lived on his farm in the early 1800's and no ,he didn't.He has taken my number so if he should find anything out he will ring.He thinks the farm was actually part of the Manor and would have been leased out.
How lovely it was to talk to someone with a proper Devonshire accent lol.Made me homesick it did !!
