When I was a Nanny ,the people I worked for were Millionaires. The 2 younger children got the hand downs of underwear from the older two.I couldn't believe it,and would sometimes buy a few pairs of pants for them out of my measly pay.Yes Frank that is how they keep their money.Lots of other ways too .It used to make me so mad sometimes .

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 8 Sep 2010 20:27

It's nearly dark here. I have just shut all the chickies in and am now going to do the rice for dinner. chicken carrots and mushrooms in the oven with mush soup and smelling good. The casserole is rather full and I hope it dos'nt go over onto the bottom of the oven.

Annx Report 8 Sep 2010 20:42

Happy birthday to Sofia!! I bet she will love the candle on her cake. It seems only yesterday she was a tiny baby.

Shirl, good job you weren't in Mistress Mel's cut and paste class, only a few passed you know.........she's very good though. lol

Well, the Hedgerow Jam came about because Jane said Chris was picking sloes for the gin. lol We have a lot of sloes on the trees over the bottom fence so I googled recipes for them and the jam came up. I have all the ingredients now, so will make some later tomorrow. OH says he will have some 24 hours after I have tried it!!

His interview went very well, and he thinks he will be successful judging by their enthusiasm and keenness. The job which is voluntary involves unannounced visits to to police stations to interview people in custody. It will only involve about 6 visits a year and some training and quarterly meetings, so won't be too demanding. He also has an interview next week for a job taking minutes at school governers meetings for Northampton education. That one is a paid job and involves a bit of travel which he will like, but you can do as little or as much as you want, which is ideal.

Mandy, the zoo the other day, now tramping around Norwich.......you will need a foot spa next for your feet to sizzle in. lol Mind you we are off to Bridgmere Garden Centre near Nantwich tomorrow, supposed to be Britain's largest, 140 acres with show gardens!! I think I shall be ready to put my feet up when we get back!!.

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 8 Sep 2010 20:48
