Catie, a night out will have done you good.......hope little Mark slept well last night so you could too!

Frank, you must have really shocked that woman. Good for her that she apologised and is changing her ways hopefully. I don't think many would have told a man off for doing that though.

Mel, hope you are feeling better today. I occasionally get those flutterings, like a bird in your hand only in the chest, and it is not pleasant. Mine started happening all the time at age 19, in my case caused by all the stress from my father according to the doc. He told me soldiers on the front line got it. He must have been right because within a few months of getting married they virtually stopped with rare bouts since. At the time I seriously didn't think I'd make 25. Yours is a different cause like you say, but just as unsettling......do you have to take any medication for it.

The cousin of my schoolfriend with the ponies is in an article in the local paper. He gave DNA in the summer along with others as they are doing a tv programme in the BBC History series, English Story. 2000 years of history in the villages of Kibworth Beauchamp, Kibworth Harcourt and Smeeton Westerby, which marked the historic divide between Saxon and Viking rule a 1000 years ago. They have been cataloguing the 'Y' chromosone handed from father to son and apparently his DNA is full blooded, axe wielding Norwegian Viking!! The series is on BBC4 week commencing 20th September, so I shall be looking out for it.

Your meal sounds delicious Catie, I think I would love it all!!

The funeral yesterday was a Roman Catholic one and OH said he had never seen so many people at a funeral. He said even the 2 children's whole school classes were all there. OH is doing the radio reports for the husband again today and possibly for the foreseeable future. He doesn't mind on the one hand, but he says it does take a bit of the relaxation of watching the game away when you have to keep scribbling notes!!!

My OH isn't keen on Paul Grady, but I quite like him too and have read his book.

Thank you all for your e-mails, they give me a chuckle in the mornings. lol

Afternoon all
Just having an easy day, Still feeling tired,
I was right daughter no 2 and I left the hen party at 10.00 , Daughter thinks she's coming down with a cold, headache and all , and my back was killing me. also even though I had ear plugs in because of my tinitis the music was really loud, first time I have had a night out since I hit my head so I wasn't taking any chances, NO STRIPPERS TG ( think I am getting to old for these disco nights?) not interested in dancing, leave that to the young ones. also the loud music makes it difficult to talk. ( SORRY ABOUT ALL THE MOANING,
Not had much sleep due to all the aches from yesterday (couldn't get comfy) and the humming in my ear so feeling a bit as they say here in Scotland WABBIT(worn out!!!!
just relaxing and reading my book

I would love to have been related to that 1000 year old!! How exciting to find you had rellies that far back in the area you lived. One branch of mine was in Staffordshire back to the 1600s but thats as far as I've got with any.

Hi Everyone, I'm fine and sorry not to have been around for such ages, but I have been very tied up with relation hunting! I have managed to make contact with a paternal relation who has uploaded two photos of my Grandparents, one which shows my father aged about 2 with his younger sister with their parents! and the other my G.parent on his own leaning up against an old fashioned bike wearing a straw boater!! I am really so excited to have got these as a year ago I didn't even know their names let alone anything at all about them! People have been really brilliant on Genes and Roots, without their help I would have really struggled, so a big thankyou to all. I've also got a photo of my paternal Great Aunt (dead ages ago!) from the same source, she looks a lot like my father, so that is interesting too!! Sorry if I've been boring with all this, but it's opened up a whole new family, at least on paper!

Was thinking, that thing that the Dental Hospital was looking at in my mouth last week "might" be the consequence of OH's elbow accidently hitting my face one night earlier this year.Just missed my nose. Now, if she had been trying!!

Ralph's recent surgery is now healing as it should and the antibiotics for his arm infection seem to be working.
