Niggly Nellie? She was the wife of Captain Pugwash! who was skipper of the 'Saucy Nancy' children's telly 1976 ish, and she niggled at him for all the silly things he did!(know the feeling!!!) My father used to call my mother this name when she got cross, it made her even crosser!!!! I cook the peppers lightly, freeze, than use for cooking

It was Aunt Sally in Worzel Gummidge, but I think one of the characters was called Nancy, but I could be wrong! This 'Saucy Nancy' was a ship, and yes, there was a cabin boy and he was called Tom! amazing how it all comes back after all these years!

Haven't been on as i have had the little ones here quite a bit .

Just back from Hunstanton ,hubby finished work early so we took ourselves off to the coast ,for the afternoon ,the tide was out and there were lots of holiday makers about .

Thanks for the photo's Maureen , was that where you stayed , i'd ask for my money back LOL

We've got to take Toby to the vets on Monday ,its for his yearly check up ,he's got a place near his bottom that keeps bleeding so got to get that checked out too.

Well the plumber should be here tomorrow ,then the Loo should be in working order thank goodness , what's the bet i'll be half way up the stairs to the loo before i remember i can use the one downstairs !!

Thats very good Jane ....a wee while LOL , we used to say your sharp ,have you had Vinegar on a fork !!
Have you got to take Chester back to the vets with his bum !!

It was lovely Shirl , the tide was out and you could see the sand banks where you can take a boat trip to see the Seals .
Of course we had to have a Fish and Chip tea ,but i didn't really enjoy them very much ,soggy batter on the fish Yuk !!

Did you use to go shell picking on the beach .....hold them to your ear to hear the sea , sounded like a howling wind rather than the sea !!

Annx Report 30 Jul 2010 20:16

Hi All,

Thanks for the photos Maureen.....it looks very nice there.......super boat!

We've had a short blast of rain too. OH has gone to a match, coughing and sniffling now and achey.......he said he may be home at half time. I told him he is mad to go, but that's men for you!!! lol

Mandy, I'm sure you will be RELIEVED to get your new loo. lol Yes, you will be walking past it to go upstairs at first.

As a little girl my parents called me sparrowlegs!! Ahhh!! Then it was corkscrew Annie when I had ringlets......Annie get your gun in my cowgirls outfit!!

Annx

Annx Report 30 Jul 2010 20:27

I've not heard that saying before Mandy. I bet the fish itself was lovely though......I hate soggy batter too.

We emailed an advert and photo to the local paper today for the diamond wedding. Well, they emailed back how it will look for our agreement. I don't know what they were thinking.......they've cut off MIL's shoulder and half her veil!! We looked at a similar advert in the same paper before we sent it and that was really nice with the pic above the words. In ours they put the squashed pic to the left and squashed the words to the right!! OH is ringing them tomorrow......nothing seems to run smoothly at times does it. lol

I loved Captain Pugwash.....and the jaunty little tune. Shiver me timbers.....ho, ho me hearties!! lol
