I have no idea where William was born.I've got nothing on him at all except he married my husbands Grand Mother Caroline Julia Lamb.They had 4 children.Barbara,William,John & Olive.They seperated years ago when the children were very young.Yes it very much looks like George & Barbara i know they lived on the Common in South Creak.The Lamb,Lee's,Popes were all Romany Families.Jenny

Sorry dont know Williams fathers name,thats what i'm trying to find out.I dont know where or what year he was born.All i know about him is he married my husband Grand Mother...Caroline her parents were George and Barbara Lamb.I've got no birth certificates as yet.I have'nt long started my husbands family tree.The only thing i know William was a bare knuckle fighter.William and Caroline's children were.

You're not quite answering the question, Jennifer.

William's father's name should be on William's marriage cert.
If you mean you don't have a copy of that, you should get one.

That would at least give us a bit of a clue to maybe find him in pre-marriage censuses.
