David that was Annette Mills,

Thanks Mandy, I need some company. But i'm not clearing up after him !!!!!

All the kids round here go back Thursday. Lewis is on his way back from France. Should arrive home about 3am tomorrow. He's back to school Thursday also. You will then find you can get around the Supermarkets quicker. But the local roads will be Hel#.

I manages to put in 125 crocus and Tulips this afternoon. Dug out a Blood# great stone, weighed about 2lbs. How I haven't found it before I will never know.

Annx, Those stakes in your garden will be the boundry line between you and your neighbours. Best to leave them where they are, in case of any disputes at a later date over boundary lines

Just popped in to say hello. Jane, that letter was very mysterious. I haven't come across anything like that in our family, but my maternal grandmother left a beautiful letter to the whole family... basically thanking everyone for all their love and saying goodbye. I cried buckets when I read it. The letter had been written a couple of years before she actually died.

We had a very hectic weekend looking after Emily. To cap it her mum (my sister in law) gave birth prematurely. She dropped Emily off with us on Friday and hadn't been home long, when she felt very ill. She then had a massive fit and was rushed to hospital and the baby was delivered by c section. The baby ( a liitle boy called Mark) is fine, but Nicky isn't so good at the moment.
I just hope she will be ok.

Frank.... You must rest if you are a bit off colour lol

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 31 Aug 2010 22:33

Catiel what a nasty thing to happen to your poor SIL.

How prem was baby Mark? Just as well you had Emily when it happened otherwise she would have been worried about her too. Who took her to hosp?

Was she with someone or on her own?

Hope she is better now she has had the babe.

Frank hope you feel better tomorrow.

Off now so will say night night sleep tight Mel x

Mel..... Mark was about 5 weeks early and a beautiful little boy. Nicky's husband was with her when she had the fit. It was also witnessed by Emily's twin sister..... Terrifying for them to see Nicky like that. My BIL called an ambulance and they appeared very quickly. It now appears that my SIL has had a Stroke. She has poor speech, unable to walk and unable to use one of her hands etc. My BIL is going to see a specialist this morning. Meanwhile, Emily and her twin sister are going to stay with us for a few days. Emily is autistic and all the disruption to her routine has made her very upset ....
Anyway we will have to see what the doctor says.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts, which are very much appreciated.

Mark is in special care Jane, but he's doing well and not expected to be there for long. I'm going to see him this afternoon .... Poor Nicky hasn't even seen him yet as she's been so ill. This has been such a shock to us all as Nicky had seemed so well. Her poor husband ( my OH's brother) doesn't know whether he is coming or going. Fortunately, Nicky's parents are returning to England at the end of the week to help out.

Catiel,
Our thoughts are with you and the family at this very trying time. Do hope everything goes well.

Jane, I had to go and buy some beans this morning. Not enough on my vines, for a picking today. Should be OK by the weekend. We have given them a right old bashing. Felling a lot better today, been out to B & # and Tesc#.

Bought another bag of Daffs. this morning £2.50. for 50 bulbs in Tesc# I will find room for them somewhere.

Shorts again this afternoon, going out to read the paper in the sun.

Annx Report 1 Sep 2010 14:40

Ohh poor Nicky Catie,,,,,,,the last thing you expect isn't it. I hope she makes a good recovery.......good that the children are with you and have a bit of familiarity. Her poor husband must be in a right state.

Glad you are feeling better Frank..........someone's got to put all those bulbs in. You must have a brilliant show in the spring.

Back in the garden now to plant 1 or 2 of the shrubs.......

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 1 Sep 2010 15:03

Been to the garden center to get another sack of peanuts. Also got a cordless door bell so if mum needs us in the night she can ring.

Frank how are you today.

I also bought some leek plants to try in the tunnel over the winter and tem more lettuce to keep me going.

Jane

Jane Report 1 Sep 2010 16:04

If that cordless bell is as loud as ours you will need ear plugs Mel.I wonder ,does it have volume control??
I was woken last night by the smoke alarm beeping every now and then.No-one else woke and so I lay there thinking I would be able to ignore it.But no ,I just annoyed me!!!.Chris wouldn't get up so I had to get James out of bed as I knew he could reach it to take out the battery without having to get something to stand on..........Peace!!!!.But could I get off again...no .So I read for about half an hour and then slept.
